HP’s May 2013 release of LoadRunner 11.52 was more than just a simple patch. While there are general performance improvements in VUGen and Analysis for general user functions, it also has several new features. This article will cover many of them so you can determine if it is time to upgrade.
Replay Statistics Summary

HP ALM 11.52 Patch 1 (TD4QC_00350, TD4QC_00351, TD4QC_00349 and TD4QC_00348), which applies to HP ALM 11.52, was released on 08/15/13. This patch is a non-critical patch which includes new features, updates to existing features and addresses known defects and performance issues in version 11.52.

HP UFT 11.52 Patch 1 (UFT_00056), which applies to HP UFT 11.52, was released on 08/13/13. This patch is a non-critical patch which addresses known defects in version 11.52. It also includes new environment support including support for Chrome 27, 28 and 29, and support for Firefox 22 and 23.
Note:  The patch support model for UFT 11.5 has changed from the patch model used previously in versions of QTP (QuickTest Pro). New technology support, as well as fixes for known issues are now provided in cumulative service packs.

HP UFT Service Pack 11.52 (UFT_00022), which applies to HP UFT 11.51 and 11.50, was released on 06/07/13. This service pack is a critical patch which includes updates to existing features and addresses known defects and performance issues in version 11.50 and 11.51. HP has released several notifications this week about fixes for Performance Center 11.0 that have been addressed in Performance Center 11.5:

HP has released knowledge base article KM00360438, which provides a patch to fix the snapshot viewer freezing with Flex scripts in LoadRunner Vugen. The problem usually occurs with the Step Navigator and viewing long responses in the response body.  Sometimes Vugen will appear to hang on this operation. A downloadable RAR file is available on the knowledge base article page. NOTE: This patch needs to be applied ON TOP of SP1.

HP has released knowledge base article KM00359068, which indicates a new Service Pack for LoadRunner 11.5 may be out by May. This article addresses support for the JAVA JDK 1.7 for JAVA and FLEX protocols. The current answer is:
“With VUGEN version 11.5 SP1, we still do not support JDK 1.7 with JAVA protocols and FLEX (unless all the jars are compiled with backward compatible). It will be supported in SP2, which is scheduled to be released in <SOON>.”

HP Support has released knowledge base article (KM00228735) to deal with Tasks that timeout on PC 11.5 and higher. The problem is encountered when a health check on a Host machine fails with the following error message
“Failure Timeout: Task with ID <xxxx> has failed to finish during the expected time.”
The task will be marked as a failed task.
This is usually a problem with a service not running on the host, or having incorrect permissions on the host. First, check all the services to ensure they are running. Check for these Read Entire Entry

HP Software has  released a knowledge base article (KM00354420) to deal with failed runs on a newly installed PC Host within Performance Center 11.5 and higher. Indications of this conditions are a failed status at the “Launch Controller” step when trying to execute a test. A message window will display the message:
“Run test failed: Reason: Failed to launch Controller.”
Checking System Health may also report this error on the problematic Host:
“Check connectivity between the Controller and Load Generator”.
