The Northway team be in Vegas at HP Discover June 4 – 7, 2012. We will be speaking this year on “Application Transformation in Healthcare IT” with our client, BlueCross BlueSheild of Tennessee. Our session number is TB2224. You can find us on the HP Discover 2012 Session Catalog page. Here is more information about session:
In 2011, Blue Cross Blue Shield Tennessee (BCBST) decided to implement HP Project and Portfolio Management (PPM), Quality Center, Functional Testing, and LoadRunner—all at the same time. In this presentation, BCBST and Northway Solutions Group will show you how these solutions have helped drive progress in the Test Maturity Model Integration model from TMMi level 1 toward TMMi level 3, and have helped to improve governance through the Model Audit Rule (MAR) compliance initiative within the company. You’ll hear how BCBST went from open-source testing tools and homegrown project management solutions to HP enterprise-ready applications. Topics will include implementation challenges, current state of maturity in using the solutions, and plans for the future, including integrating HP Quality Center, PPM, and Service Manager. You’ll also get a detailed look at how to build a customized defect workflow in Quality Center using a 6D development methodology.”
For those of you who currently work at any BlueCross company (or related entity) and interested in seeing how these HP products can be implemented successfully, this session is a perfect fit. BCBST has implemented these products and the methodology with it, and the results were impressive and very beneficial to the organization. Wait, there’s more! Understanding the “Blue” culture is a dynamic component, therefore Eldon Fields, the Software Quality Assurance and Testing Manager from BCBST will be there to answer any questions about how to navigate the political and process that might be perceived as a roadblock.
For those who aren’t involved in the healthcare industry but would like to know more about QA process, and the best way to implement ALM or Quality Center, this session will still be extremely beneficial. The “6D Methodology”, presented by its developer Brian Copeland, will bring a new level of understanding to the term “QA process”. Brian is one of the most brilliant minds in the industry today, and a wellspring of knowledge for Quality Center best practices. This session promises to have some additional surprises that all attendees will enjoy.
We’ll be posting a couple of more blogs on HP Discover the closer we get to the conference, so check back on our blog page often. Will we see you there?
